Join the test

There is no Android build. This one is watchOS-first by design, so there is no Google Play test to join.

What it does

It is a watchOS-primary player: the Watch is the device you use, not a remote control for your phone. Audio is downloaded to the Watch and plays from there, which is the part most podcast apps quietly do not do.

It plays from:

  • RSS podcast feeds
  • Files on your iPhone
  • iCloud Drive
  • Audiobookshelf
  • Jellyfin

Audiobookshelf and Jellyfin are servers you run. Pointing the app at your own library is the whole idea — your listening history is not a product being sold back to you.

WebDAV and Plex were removed from the supported setup path rather than left in half-working, which is worth knowing if you were counting on either.

On privacy manifests

Apple requires apps to declare which sensitive APIs they use and why. This app declares only the categories it actually uses — file timestamps for its local store, user defaults for a per-device setting, system boot time via MetricKit — each documented against the exact code path that needs it, in a privacy rationale kept in the repository.

That document exists because “we don’t track you” is a claim, and a claim you can check against code is worth more than one you cannot.

Status

Foundation, the player engine, and the first listen-on-Watch milestone are shipped. Current work is a device-feedback campaign closing out stability, playback, Watch sync and release readiness — which is exactly the stage where testers are most useful.
